Is this an induction stove top..?
No, this model is not induction. It features a radiant cooktop that uses electric heating elements located beneath a smooth glass-ceramic surface. When turned on, the elements heat up and radiate heat through the glass to the cookware placed on top. Stainless steel, heavy-weight aluminum, copper, titanium, carbon steel, and porcelain/enamel cookware are recommended, provided they are heavy-weight and have a flat bottom.
