How do I get sticky residue off of the stovetop griddle? I’ve tried using a non-abrasive sponge with soap and water, as well as soaking in vinegar and water.

If your range model has the aluminum griddle: Wash the griddle in warm soapy water. Allow it to soak a few minutes to soften stubborn soils and dissolve grease or oil. If needed, a non-abrasive plastic scouring pad can be used. If your range has the cast iron griddle: Wash the griddle in hot water only using a sponge or stiff brush to clean it. Do not use scrubbing pads or steel wool on the cast iron griddle. Always towel dry the griddle after washing. Next, apply a light, thin coating of vegetable oil to the griddle.
