Can you vent directly out of the chimney if it is against an exterior wall? Solid duct of course, with a 90 degree elbow to an external vent?

This hood is designed to be vented vertically through the ceiling. You'll want to use a 6" round duct and locally supplied elbows to vent horizontally through the rear wall. Please follow the Installation Instructions as they're written as this is how we've tested/approved the unit for proper use/installation. Can we vented off the wall instead of the roof?

This vent hood can be vented off the wall instead of the roof as long as this hood is installed as a recirculating unit. You cannot externally vent this unit if it is on the wall opposed to the roof.

Can this be installed under kitchen cabinet over the stove ?

What is the actual, total width of the hood? My opening between my cabinets is 29 11/16. Thanks

This model has an overall width of 30", so it will fit in your 29 11/16″ opening.

What size vent pipe goes on this unit?

This hood is designed to be vented vertically through the ceiling with a 6" round duct. We recommend to use metal ductwork only.
